Frequently Asked Questions

I'm new to the website, what should I do?

First of all, welcome to Louis Tutoring!

 

(1) As a first step, I would sign-up for an account by using the log-in button at the top of the website. This account allows students to keep track of their upcoming tutoring sessions, payment methods, as well as preferred names and emails.

 

(2) For a second step, I would go to the online booking page and schedule a 15-minute free online intro session. This session allows for us to talk about tutoring preferences and work out any other necessary details.

 

(3) If all else fails, scroll to the bottom of the website and click the contact form. This will allow you to send me a note via email and I will get back to you as soon as possible! (Response time is usually under a day)

How do I pay for my tutoring sessions?

There are two ways to pay for your tutoring sessions: (1) Pay when you book or (2) Pay through a payment link afterwards.

 

(1) Pay when you book: If you book your tutoring session through the online calendar, you will be asked to pay upfront in order to confirm your date and time. Once booked, no other student can take that time slot. Sessions may be cancelled (for a full refund) or rescheduled with 24 hours' notice.

 

(2) Pay with a payment link afterwards: For students who prefer to pay after a session, no worries! This requires a student to communicate with me directly via email to request a timeslot. These time slots are on a first come, first served basis. After the tutoring session concludes, a payment link will be sent to the email on file for the student. A student cannot have another session occur until the most recent session has been paid for. (Unless the sessions are on back-to-back days)

What if I don't want to pay online via a credit card?

As long as students/guardians communicate with me, I am glad to be flexible to accommodate different types of payment! (Ex. Cash, Venmo, etc)
